All At Sea by Gemma Roman – Book Review

Alice is young, in love and living on the Cornish coast. Life should be perfect. But Alice is about to meet someone who will make her question everything.

A novella of 170 pages, set in the beautiful Cornwall.

Alice is a real homebody, in her early twenties, lives and works in her home town and has never ventured very far from home….it’s her idyll. Her boyfriend Kai, is a freelance photographer and travels a fair bit…..he proposes, she says no as doesn’t want to be just a wife and wants more from life, she just doesn’t know what. But as they love each other it is put to one side.

But, then she meets Mia, she feels attracted to this elfin girl and the feeling is mutual…Alice has never been attracted to a girl before and her emotions are ‘all at sea’.

Mia disappears as quickly as she arrived, Kai and Alice have split up but three years later they bump into each other again…..can they find what they had lost?

This is an intense look into emotions, all amazingly packed into just 170 pages. A tale of love, home and the sea. Beautiful.

Thank you to Anne Cater and Random Things Tours for the opportunity to participate in this blog tour,  for the promotional materials and a free copy of the book. This is my honest, unbiased review.

“I’m Gemma Roman

I have pretty much always been a bookworm.

I have always loved reading, writing and the creative arts, and also enjoyed dancing which led me to study for a degree in Dance Studies when I was at University. Following graduation, I worked in retail and became interested in the wealth of characters that I came across daily while working in customer service.

I’d had a few ideas rumbling around in my head for a while, and so spent a few years writing my first novel in my spare time. I finally managed to release it in June 2016, and am now planning for the release of my new book ‘All At Sea’, which is due out in 2019.
